Easing Roundabout Traffic
Easing Roundabout Traffic

The traffic situation nearby Jame ‘Asr Bolkiah Mosque, Kiarong, is getting worse nowadays especially in the morning, lunch hour, after working hours and also on Fridays and Saturdays.
I hope the PED and the RBPF should work together on how to "control" the traffic jams. Maybe for a short term solution consider traffic police from 7am to 9am and from 12pm to 2.30pm and from 4.30pm to 6pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.
On Fridays from 11.30am to 1.30pm. A long term solution will be to install traffic lights or Overhead Bridge (viaduct). The roundabout has been around for more than three years now and the number of vehicles have also increased. The number of vehicles in Brunei-Muara district is approximately 200,000 and the roundabout could not cope with the volume everyday.
