Alcohol?
Alcohol?

Hello readers
1. The honourable LegCo suddenly came with a brave proposal and I felt only ONE from the YBs there felt that this proposal is good and the best:
The opposition itself.
So many people were shocked by this brave proposal, therefore came with so many speculations and suggestions and so many questions.
2. So the main question now is: Why is this question came out? From whom actually this question originally came from? Is it from came straight from beneath the opposition's heart? Or he's representing his community?
Is it for the tourists who can't resist drinking alcohol in Brunei? Or further, its representing some of our own Muslim Malay who doesn't have a strong religious believes, who just like to enjoy, by breakinng laws in this country?
Is the opposition didn't know the fact of MIB and Negara Zikir which is already so many time being told in this country? Did he refer to other YBs before putting up his proposal without caring either it is sensitive or not to the Muslim Malays?
3. That is only just the question, not the conclusion yet.
Thank god it was answered with full understanding of the YB Menteri. no need to be mad without reasons.
May Allah always given the knowledge to our YBs and us.
4.Imagine if the proposal was in AU.. A place in Brunei, specifically for the non-muslim and tourists to party, with alcohol. will it be able to guard with a sign 'no muslims allowed' or 'no Bruneians allowed' or 'no Muslim allowed'? Even accompanied with Gurkas with sten guns..those who doesnt have strong iman can easily get in by bribing. And its funny if suddenly the Guards says with Commitment: So its a bribe.. it haram.. And he's confused.
5. How many do we have to say.. our tourism industry and attractions are not the same as in Dubai, or Singapore or in any other in the world. Not even two, in Brunei, the tourism consist of Natural Lanscape, the forests, the mosques, kampong Ayer, museums, and the good people, blablabla..
So why must the tourist have alcohol?
6. How many do we have to say...the pleasantness of the country is the main and important attraction, even with little tourist, but we can feel the comforts.
Not just by Muslim but also to the non-Muslims who still think Brunei is different, its peace and happiness.
7. I met a tourist once from Hong Kong and non Muslim, and I asked him: 'do you need alcohol in Brunei? because we don't sell it here.'
The question wasn't about me to offering him an alcohol, but I just wanted to know his feeling, what's the differenec he get by being in Brunei, nobody is allowed to sell alcohol and its very difficult to get.. So what did he answer?
'its not a problem, I came here not to drink.. I want to be see the forest, kpg ayer, museum, mosques and its friendly people..if I want to drink I wont be coming here, I would go to Singapore or Malaysia instead. or I would just stay in Hong Kong if I want to..' so don't make us feel guilty for not serving alcohol or have a zone for tourists consisting of bar, pubs..
8. Respect to the government for having these menteris who has a strong iman. I salute you. may Allah bless you all.. wallahu a'lam...
